1. Request for Data
I’m working on a parallel sysplex article for the TUNING Letter and need a good example of a report that I can’t reproduce myself (due to volume). If you can help me out, please send an email to cheryl@watsonwalker.com. I’m looking for a z/OS 1.2 or 1.3 installation that is running a parallel sysplex environment with a fairly heavy production load. I’d like to get the RMF reports produced for a peak period.
2. SHARE in San Francisco
SHARE is just around the corner (August 18 – 23, 2002 in San Francisco). My presentation, “Cheryl’s Hot Flashes,” is on Friday at 9:30 am. I hope to see you there.
Here’s a brief note from the SHARE organization.
SHARE in San Francisco offers the best return on your training investment: exceptional technical education, hands-on labs, a products & services exhibition, and professional connections. Features include a Storage Management Special Program Event and a keynote presentation by world-renowned explorer Robert Ballard. The latest session lineup and event details appear on the SHARE Web site at http://www.share.org/sanfran.

KNOW ANY AIX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATORS?
Running concurrent with the first days of SHARE in San Francisco is USERblue, a SHARE-sponsored technical conference dedicated to users of IBM technologies (AIX, pSeries) for UNIX and Linux systems. USERblue will take place August 18-21 at the Hotel Nikko San Francisco, immediately adjacent to the primary SHARE conference hotels. Registration to USERblue is separate from SHARE, but you can register by July 26 for the Premium Package (at a $975 savings off separate regular admissions) to enjoy full access to both the USERblue and SHARE conferences. For full event details and registration, visit the USERblue Web site at http://www.userblue.org.
