Hi All,
Our latest Tuning Letter, 2018 No. 2, was published on our publications website last night. 153 pages of functions and fun. We hope that you will enjoy it – just the cure for poolside boredom :). The Table of Contents will be available on our public website tomorrow for anyone to view.
I’m writing this from beautiful downtown St. Louis, where 60% of Watson & Walker (plus about 1000+ other people) are here for the week to attend this summer’s SHARE conference. Cheryl is presenting at FOUR sessions this week, and we also have a Booth in the Expo area – Booth 327, between our friends in IntelliMagic and Enterprise Systems Media. If you will be at SHARE, please drop by and say hello.
Also, the key IBM people that are related to a number of articles in the latest Tuning Letter are going to be at SHARE, so if you have questions that the articles don’t answer, this is your perfect opportunity to speak to the experts. In particular, we urge you to read the article about IBM’s websites, and speak to the IBM z Systems leaders that will be at the conference. Let them know what you like and don’t like about the sites, and especially, what you need to support your businesses.
UPDATE: Dave Jeffries, the new Vice President of z/OS Development in Poughkeepsie will be hosting an executive open forum session on Tuesday afternoon – 4:30, in room 104. If you want to hear about his thoughts for where z/OS should be going in the future, or you want to let IBM know about your needs, this is your chance. If you don’t take opportunities like this to make your opinions and requirements known, then you really can’t complain if the outcome is not to your liking.
I have to go now – I have selected only 114 sessions that I want to attend this week, so I need to find a few more to fill out my itinerary. 🙂 We hope we’ll see you this week, and that all SHARE attendees have any informative and entertaining week. Bye for now.
